In my particular area, there are a lot of lakes and canals available to do some bass fishing. Winter fly fishing demands a little timing and planning on your part. Once you find a small river or stream that contains rainbows, the equipment that you need to catch them is fairly simple.
When trout fishing size eight or size ten gang hooks are the most effective sizes, and enable you to present live worms in an outstretched and natural fashion. I believe in using live worms as bait as much or more than any other single bait. If you go in the middle of summer then you are not likely to catch any and are only going to sweat and not catch anything at all.
